MMC HOLLO TALKS TO DELMORAL AND OLIFANTSFONTEIN INFORMAL SETTLEMENTS RESIDENTS

Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Human Settlements, Cllr Kgopelo Hollo, recently visited and addressed residents in the Olifantsfontein and Delmoral informal settlements.

The purpose of the visits was to engage directly with residents and provide feedback on housing allocations for identified beneficiaries. He also addressed the re-blocking of informal settlements, which will assist with easier access for emergency services and the delivery of essential municipal services.

In Delmoral, MMC Hollo engaged with the 245 beneficiaries who have been approved for housing allocation under the Extension 4 project in Germiston.

In Olifantsfontein, the MMC assured residents that progress was being made on the re-blocking challenges.

“As the City, we are committed to winning this fight – for our people to live in dignity,” said MMC Hollo.
