OVER A THOUSAND HOMEOWNERS RECEIVE TITLE DEEDS IN PALM RIDGE
Over one thousand homeowners in Palm Ridge Extension 9 are now valid homeowners after they received their title deeds from the City’s Department of Human Settlements on Wednesday, 20 July 2022.
This was made a reality when the City handed out 1 110 title deeds to the residents of the area.
Title deed recipient Jacob Makulwane (66) has lived in the area for the past five years and received his RDP house from the government in 2017. He says it’s been unsettling to stay with family in a house he does not fully own.
“Receiving this title deed brings a sense of relief to me as the head of the house. I’m now certain that I have secured a home for my children,” said Makulwane.
The Palm Ridge housing project was established in 2016. It is made up of 2 312 residential stands allocated to beneficiaries. More title deeds will be allocated to the rightful homeowners.
