CONTROLLED ACCESS PARKS OPENED DURING COVID-19 LOCKDOWN LEVEL 4
The city of Ekurhuleni’s controlled access community parks will remain open during the lockdown of COVID-19 adjusted alert level 4.
This is following the President’s announcement of the country’s move to COVID-19 lockdown level 4, effective from Monday, 28 June.
However, even though community parks will be opened, no gatherings of large groups will be permitted. Residents are urged to follow the strict COVID-19 rules of always maintaining social distance of 1.5 meters, wearing of cloth facemasks and regularly sanitizing or washing hands.
The access-controlled parks will operate from 06:00 to 18:00 daily. Security guards at the gate will monitor and manage the number of people entering the parks to avoid overcrowding.

- Bokkie Park
- Blaaupan Dam
- Gillolys Farm
- Dries Niemandt Park
- Bulithando multi-purpose Park
- Nomathamsanqa Multi-purpose Park
- Barcelona Regional Park
- Germiston Lake
- Alberton Dam
