CITY OF EKURHULENI CONDEMNS THE STABBING INCIDENT AT GELUKSDAL SECONDARY SCHOOL

The City of Ekurhuleni condemns the recent violent incident which led to the death of a learner at Geluksdal Secondary School in Brakpan.

MMC for Community Safety Cllr Khathutshelo Rasilingwane called on residents to work together with the police to report any form of violence in their communities.

Reacting to the incident, MMC Rasilingwane said, “We condemn any form of bullying and violence in our communities and schools. It is sad that a young life was lost due to bullying in school. We urge our residents to join hands with law enforcement in ensuring that our communities are safe.”

MMC Rasilingwane also conveyed her condolences to the Mphele family and urged community leaders and parents to continue educating children about the dangers of bullying.
