CONDOLENCES TO THE VICTIMS AND FAMILIES OF THOSE IMPACTED BY BOKSBURG TANKER EXPLOSION

I would like to offer my condolences to the families of the victims who have been fatally injured because of the explosion of an LPG tanker in Plantation, Boksburg, this morning.

Our hearts go out to those who are seriously injured and who are being attended to by our emergency response teams.

The disaster management cluster is on site assisting the victims of this tragedy and assessing the cause of the accident.

On behalf of the city, the Office of the Executive Mayor commits itself to assisting all role- players in ensuring that a comprehensive investigation takes place and those who are liable are brought to book.
