EXECUTIVE MAYOR XHAKAZA TO CONDUCT OVERSIGHT VISIT IN BEDFORDVIEW FOLLOWING PROLONGED WATER OUTAGES

The Executive Mayor of the City of Ekurhuleni, Alderman Nkosindiphile Xhakaza, will today, 14 March 2025, undertake an oversight visit to Bedfordview in response to the prolonged water shortages affecting the area on the G2 line of Rand Water. The visit aims to assess the situation on the ground and engage with affected residents.

Executive Mayor Xhakaza will be joined by the Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Water and Sanitation, Cllr Thembi Msane. Earlier today, MMC Msane sought to meet with Rand Water’s Chief Executive Officer to urgently address the ongoing supply challenges; however, Rand Water did not attend the scheduled engagement.
