MAYOR XHAKAZA TO LAUNCH THE MAYORAL SERVICE DELIVERY IMBIZO SERIES AT MEHLARENG STADIUM, THEMBISA
Thembisa, – The Office of the Mayor is pleased to announce the upcoming Mayoral Service Delivery Imbizo, set to take place on 09 May 2024, starting at 11:00 AM at Mehlareng Stadium in Thembisa. Executive Mayor, Ald. Nkosindiphile Xhakaza, committed to host a series Imbizos across the city during his State of the City Address. The Mayoral Service Delivery Imbizo serves as a critical platform for public engagement and cooperative governance. The consultation process is integral to refining our city’s strategic initiatives and ensuring that our budgeting aligns with the real needs of our community.
Mayor Xhakaza will be joined by the Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi at Mehlareng Stadium and will demonstrate a coordinated approach to service delivery coordination in line with the District Development Model. The feedback from various urban, township, and informal settlement areas underscores the necessity for robust infrastructure to foster economic development, improve service delivery agility, and enhance the quality of life in our communities.
