VOSLOORUS YOUTH GET ASSISTANCE ON THE ENTREPRENEURSHIP JOURNEY

Unemployment is at an all-time high, especially among young people, Ekurhuleni is among the cities with the highest numbers.

Due to this bleak situation worsening, there have been consistently growing calls to groom entrepreneurs to tackle unemployment. This week Vosloorus is being treated to a two-day Ekasi and Beyond Youth Experience Summit to address this.

City Planning and Economic Development MMC, Nomadlozi Nkosi, delivered the opening address today at this event held at Christ Ambassadors Christian Church. She commended the partnership forged by African Bank and Empowaworx in building up youth to make a success of their business ideas.

“I need young people to grab the opportunities presented by this summit and collaborate with like-minded people. Entrepreneurship is the backbone of a growing economy, we as government and private sector must ensure we guide wherever possible,” MMC Nkosi motivated with scores of young people who were in attendance.

Gauteng Premier, Panyaza Lesufi, echoed the same sentiments at the Summit. He commended the corporates for backing the growth of small businesses from townships, especially those spearheaded by the youth.

The Summit has brought in business industry players and public speaking experts to engage with the youth about successfully navigating as entrepreneurs. Panel discussions and masterclasses are planned for these two days.
