COUNCIL DECLARES CIVIC FUNERAL FOR ALDERMAN GERRIE KRIEK
The City expresses condolences to the family, relatives and friends of Ald Gerrie Kriek who passed away on 14 May.
The retired alderman served as a councillor for almost three decades from 1988, five of which were as portfolio whip in numerous Section 79 portfolio committees. He was conferred aldermanship status on 25 January 2018.
The late Ald Kriek will receive a civic funeral in line with the Council’s funeral policy.
