You Can Now Visit Your Loved one’s Gravesite

Gates to the City’s cemeteries are open for those who wish to visit their loved ones who have been laid to rest there.

Please note though that cemeteries such as Vlakfontein, Thomas Nkobi, Cambrian, Lala Ngoxolo, Bredell, Boksburg Sub Regional and Kromvlei will only be open from 06h00 – 08h00 and 15h00 – 18h00. This is due to increased burial activities.

Residents wishing to unveil tombstones can do so at any time from Monday to Friday between 08h00 and 15h00. Only 50 people will be allowed to attend such ceremonies.

Those visiting gravesites are urged to keep to the COVID-19 regulations by always maintaining social distancing, wearing cloth facemask and frequently washing or sanitising hands.
