BENONI WATER SUPPLY SITUATION UPDATE

The City would like to inform residents of Benoni and surrounding areas that Rand Water has completed repairs on a water leak that has been affecting their water supply.

However, a number of areas still remain without water because of extremely low storage levels of the reservoirs, which stands at less than 20%. Currently, the process of re-filling these reservoirs is underway and the water supply situation is expected to improve as the day progresses.

The affected areas are:

  • Actonville
  • MacKenzie Park
  • Wattville
  • Tamboville
  • Benoni CBD
  • Lakefield
  • Northmead
  • Farrarmere
  • Rynfield
  • Brentwood Park
  • Goedeburg

In the meantime, the City has provided roving water tankers to the affected areas.
