CITY TO IMPLEMENT LOAD ROTATION FOR BOKSBURG AND VOSLOORUS
The City and Eskom’s technicians are working around the clock, attending to capacity constraints that resulted from vandalism and theft of electrical infrastructure at the Dawn Park substation since Tuesday evening, leading to multiple faults affecting power supply to parts of Boksburg, Vosloorus and surroundings.
In the meantime, whilst repairs are ongoing, the city will be implementing equitable four (4) hour load rotation to affected areas as per the following schedule:

All resources are put in place to speedily resolve this challenge and to restore stable power supply.
There is NO Estimated Restoration Time at the moment. However, constant updates will be made available in all city’s communication platforms.
Residents are advised to switch off all non-essential appliances during the restoration process.
