EMERGENCY WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION IN DUNNOTAR/DUDUZA/TSAKANI
| Please take note of the emergency water supply interruption to take place as follows: DATE: 15 May 2025 SHUTDOWN AND ESTIMATED RESTORATION TIME: 15 May 2025 from 08:00 until 16:00 Full recovery of the system may take up to 3 days for the high lying areas. NATURE OF INTERRUPTION: Low pressure to No water LOCATION OF INTERRUPTION: Pieter Wessels, Duduza and Dunnottar Water pumping stations AFFECTED AREAS: Dunnottar, Vlakfontein Village, Dunnottar Military Base, Duduza, Masechaba, Bluegum View, Cool Breeze, Tsakani Extensions 19, 20 and 21, Langaville Extension 10, John Dube Village and Roseview CAUSE OF INTERRUPTION : Electricity outage due to Eskom maintenance which will affect COE pumping stations REMEDIAL ACTION: Restoration of electricity and resume pumping NUMBER OF TANKERS PROVIDED AND LOCATION 6 roving water tankers will be dispatched to the affected areas OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION Please ensure that all taps remain closed for the duration of the water interruption and use water sparingly.
