PALMRIDGE SUBSTATION UPDATE

Testing of High Voltage side of transformers has commenced at the Palm Ridge substation. A full team will be on site tomorrow (08 July 2025) to remove debris and to pressure test all cables.

Depending on the tests results of the transformers, the energy department will then be able to provide scope of work and possibly provide a high-level Estimated Restoration Time.

The city is urging the community to safeguard the remaining infrastructure from theft and vandalism to avoid a delay of the restoration time.
