PARKDENE POWER SUPPLY UPDATE

The City’s efforts to restore power and replace the damaged mini substation in Parkdene near Boksburg are being hampered by the ongoing inclement weather. The substation caught fire in the early hours of yesterday leaving most parts of Parkdene in the dark.

“The teams have been hard at work since yesterday, and power was restored to some parts of the area. However, things have slowed down since the rain started yesterday evening,” explains spokesman Zweli Dlamini, adding that despite the current weather conditions, the team is determined to continue working until the power is fully restored to all the affected areas.
