PLANNED POWER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION IN KEMPTON PARK

The city’s technicians will conduct upgrade work on the electrical components at the Esther Park substation in Kempton Park from Friday, 13 December to Monday, 16 December 2024 between 08h00 and 20h00.

This will necessitate a power outage for customers in the residential and industrial areas.

Areas to be affected include the following:

  • Esther Park;
  • Spartan Extension 1 (Plane Road and Spencer Road);
  • Spartan Extension 3 (Roller Road, Foreman Road, Vuurslag Road, Grader Road, Lovato Road);
  • Spartan Extension 7;
  • Spartan Extension 16 (Platinum Road, Copper Road, Bronze Road, Vuurslag Road, Felbitem);
  • Camwood and Gifboom.

The city will do everything necessary to shorten period of outage. Meanwhile, customers are advised to treat electrical networks as live at all times while work is ongoing.
