RAND WATER MAINTENANCE TO RESULT IN TEMPORARY WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION

Rand Water has notified the City of scheduled maintenance work at the Zuikerbosch water treatment plant which will affect the water supply to several parts of the city from Sunday, 21 January until Tuesday, 23 January – depending on how quickly the Rand Water system stabilises.

To mitigate the effects of the interruption, the City will provide water tankers while residents are also encouraged to, in the meantime, store water for domestic purposes.

The affected areas include:

  • Duduza;
  • Tsakani;
  • Various parts of Benoni;
  • Vosloorus extention 2,14, 25 and 28;
  • Dalpark (Build It, Makro)
  • Leachville Proper and Extensions 1, 2 and 3, Kenleaf, Denneoord, Sunairpark, Sonneveld and Minnebron; and
  • Most parts of Kempton Park.
