UPDATE: POWER RESTORED AT MAPLETON BOOSTER PUMPING STATION

BOKSBURG – The City is pleased to provide an update on the power situation at the Mapleton Booster Pumping Station. As of 01:20am today, power has been successfully restored at the station. We would like to express our gratitude to the Eskom and Ekurhuleni technicians for their swift efforts in resolving the issue.

Although power has been restored, please be advised that it may take Rand Water up to five (5) days to fully restore water supply to all affected areas. This is due to the time required for the pumping station to reach its optimal capacity and for the reservoirs to be replenished.

We understand that this may still cause some inconvenience, and we once again apologise for the disruption to your water supply. Our teams will continue to work closely with Rand Water to ensure that water is restored to all areas as soon as possible.

In light of this situation, we appeal to all consumers to use water sparingly during this time. Your cooperation is crucial in helping us manage the water supply effectively and ensure that all residents have access to water.

We will continue to provide updates on the progress of water restoration through our official communication channels. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
