WATER LEAK AT MAPLETON PUMP STATION IS FIXED

Rand Water technicians have successfully sealed the pipeline leak affecting the water supply from Mapleton Pump Station.

Pumping water into the supply system has commenced, and pressure will accumulate gradually.

Customers feeding from the affected reservoirs will still experience low water pressure to no supply until the system has been normalised in the next few weeks.

Affected Rand Water reservoirs include:

  • Brakpan;
  • Vlakfontein;
  • Modder East; and
  • Selcourt.

Roving water tankers have been dispatched to the affected areas to temporarily supply water.
