WATER SUPPLY AFFECTED IN PARTS OF EKURHULENI

The City of Ekurhuleni wishes to inform residents that due to recurring power outages, water supply has been affected in some areas.

The latest incident, which affected Rand Water’s Mapleton pump station, occurred last night at 22h19. Eskom managed to restore the power in the early hours of this morning and pumping has resumed. Unfortunately, because the system was already strained by the Rand Water restrictions, it will take longer for the City’s reservoirs to fully recover.

As a result, water supply is affected in the following areas:

  • Tsakane;
  • Daveyton;
  • Etwatwa; and
  • Brakpan.

Customers are encouraged to use water sparingly and report all water-related challenges and incidents to the City’s call centre 0860 543 000.
