City Addressing Grass Cutting Backlog at Cemeteries
The City has prioritised cutting of grass at cemeteries and cleaning thereof following a backlog caused by COVID-19 lockdown restrictions.
The City is also pruning trees and ensuring safety at cemeteries. Emmanuel Maphorogo, Divisional Head for parks and cemeteries in the City is pleading for patience from residents as the City is working hard to tackle the backlog.
“We are aware of the concerns raised by members of the community with regards to the cleanliness at cemeteries and community parks. We are working on it and we plead for patience,” said Maphorogo.
