City at Work to Revamp Roads
The department sprung to action after regular users of Ossewa Road alerted them of a section that had potholes, posing a danger to motorists and cars.
The scope of ongoing work includes removing and replacing the road surface, patching of potholes and installation of speed calming measures.
Ronny Manaka, a resident in Chloorkop, applauded the City for refurbishing the road, adding that a newly refurbished road will reduce accidents.
“It is indeed a great thing for the City to give our road a life again,” Manaka said.
The department continues to fulfill its responsibility of providing and maintaining road infrastructure that will assist to facilitate economic growth and social development of the City, as well as promote traffic safety, improving traffic flow and alleviating traffic congestion.
