City Attends the Damage Caused by Heavy Storm

A recent storm that hit Kempton Park and Thembisa resulted in flooding that caused potholes in Bergrivier Street (Ward 104) in Terenure. The City moved in swiftly to plug the potholes.

Head of Roads and Stormwater Department Sizwe Cele says, “As a department it is our responsible to care for our roads, with the aim of saving lives and properties across the City.”

In addition, Cele said the storm left the two streets flooded, and the end results were potholes prompting his department to fix.

The City is working on improving the conditions of many roads and residents and businesses are requested to report potholes and other road related issues through the City’s Call Centre on 0860 543 000/ call.centre@ekurhuleni.gov.za or through My CoE App.
