City to Open and Hand over Nyoni and Shilakwe Community Parks to the Public

Friday will see not one, but two community parks being officially opened.

Executive Mayor Cllr Mzwandile Masina together with Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Environment Resources and Waste Management Service Ald Makhosazana Mabaso will officially open and handover the Nyoni Regional and Shilakwe Community parks to the communities of Vosloorus and Thokoza, respectively.

The first leg of the parks’ handover takes place at Nyoni Regional Park in Vosloorus. It is equipped with recreational facilities such as gym equipment, basketball court, braai areas with chalets, walking decks leading to the lake to enjoy fresh breeze and bird watching.

The second leg will see the opening and hand over the Shilakwe Community Park in Thokoza.
