FIREFIGHTERS TACKLE INTENSE FIRE
Fire fighters from Germiston and Primrose fire stations responded promptly to salvage a house in Driehoek, Germiston, on fire on 13 August.
According to Disaster and Emergency Management Services Spokesperson William Ntladi, when the teams arrived on the scene the roof had already collapsed while part of the wall structure was engulfed in flames.
The team managed to extinguish the intense fire.
“A sixteen-seater minibus parked next to the house burnt out completely while two sedan vehicles suffered partial burn damage due to radiant heat,” said Ntladi.
A fire safety officer was summoned to the scene for an investigation on the cause of the blaze.
