HUNDREDS ENJOY ELECTRICITY FOR THE FIRST TIME IN TOKYO SEXWALE AND RAMAPHOSA SETTLEMENTS
The City, through the informal settlements re-blocking programme, has electrified 502 stands in Tokyo Sexwale and 240 in Ramaphosa settlements, Boksburg.
Member of the Mayoral Committee for Water, Sanitation and Energy Cllr Leshaka Manamela expressed satisfaction at the progress made in the electrification project during a brief visit on Tuesday, 12 September.
“It is good to see that the community members are already benefitting from this project. Some are now enjoying clean water and electricity, while others got employment opportunities. This project is one of the major milestones of the Government of the People which is running the City of Ekurhuleni,” Cllr Manamela said.
