POWER RESTORED TO WITFIELD AND JET PARK

The power supply has been fully restored to Witfield and Jet Park in the Boksburg area. The power was restored around 8am.

The City was forced to implement a rotational schedule yesterday after thugs attempted to steal cables.

“Although power has been restored, our technicians are still repairing the damaged cable,” explains metro spokesman Zweli Dlamini, appealing to members of the public to remain on high alert and vigilant against cable thieves.

“We are on Stage 6 loadshedding as we speak and the last thing people need is to be disorganised by thugs.”

Customers are urged to use electricity sparingly and report any illegal activities to the city’s customer service call centre on 0860 453 000.
