TID ROLLOVER – THE TIME IS NOW
The City would like to assure its electricity prepayment consumers, specifically those that are consistently purchasing electricity that their meters will not be affected by the technology change with respect to TIDrollover and will still operate normally.
After 20:24 on 24 November 2024, meters will no longer accept electricity tokens unless they are upgraded to Key Revision Number 2 (KRN 2).
The City has achieved its target (100%) to date by updating all actively buying prepayment meters.
If you are unsure whether your meter is upgraded or not, customers can use self-check to verify their meter status before reporting to the City.
To check your meter KRN status, you’ll need to enter the following codes based on your meter make, identified by the first two digits on your meter number.
Meter types used in the City
MAKE | SERIES | Prefix (1st two digits of the meter number) | CODE (to enter) | Results to display if not updated | Expected results to display if updated |
Landis & Gyr | E460 | 07 | i057 Enter | 1 | 2 |
Landis & Gyr | PLC | 07 | i057 Enter | 1 2 | 2 2 |
Conlog | RF | 04 | #005# Enter | 1 | 2 |
Hexing | PLC | 14 | 873 Enter | 1 | 2 |
Itron | PLC | 016 | 005 Enter | 1 2 | 2 2 |
Sanxing | PLC | 45 | 005 Enter | 1 2 | 2 2 |
If the meter displays the expected results, your meter has been upgraded and you can continue to buy electricity tokens.
However, if the meter displays 1, then you need to update your meter, collect a set of Keychange tokens at your nearest Energy Department offices situated throughout the City.
Failure to upgrade your meter will prevent you from loading electricity tokens, rendering your meter in-operable.
