Faulty Water Meters, Report to Save Water
Residents are urged to monitor and report faulty water meters.
Faulty water meters may lead to inaccurate billing and water wastage. The City continuously replaces old meters that have past their 20 to 25 year life span.
However, there are those who fraudulently pass themselves off to residents as employees of the City to gain entry to homes to ‘replace’ water meters.
Residents are urged to be vigilant by demanding name tags and identification cards of City employees or contractors.
To report faulty water meters to the call centre on 0860 054 3000 or My CoE App. They will then receive an SMS with a reference number for the logged call.
