Kwa-Thema Entrance Beautification Project Takes Shape
The corner of 12th Avenue and Vlakfontein Road into Kwa-Thema township will no longer be the same, with the beautification project ongoing and taking shape.
The City’s department of Environment and Resources Management is on a drive to construct and upgrade community parks and open spaces into liveable and welcoming surroundings.
Community members of Kwa-Thema and surrounding areas have secured temporary employment opportunity though the Expanded Public Works Programme and they also get to learn various skills such as paving and construction in the process.
The beautification project includes the installation of paving, bollard, boulders, landscaping, stone pitching, walls and kerbing.
The beautification of the Kwa-Thema entrance is set to be completed at the end of April 2020.
