Putting Safety of Motorists and Pedestrians First

Serena and Miller streets in Croydon, Kempton Park, now boast clear road marking making the roads safer for pedestrians and motorists.

Local resident Edwin Griffiths said he logged a call about the faded road markings through the City’s My CoE App.

“Two days later the guys from the municipality were on sight to paint the road. We now have clear markings on the two streets,” he said.

According to the City’s Roads and Stormwater Department the essential purpose of road markings is to guide and control traffic on the road. They supplement the function of traffic signs, making them important in ensuring the safety and harmonious flow of traffic.
