The plan by the City of Ekurhuleni to refurbish its roads in the Germiston CBD is underway.
The City’s Department of Roads & Stormwater is currently hands-on with the rehabilitation of Park Road in Germiston CBD. The department’s scope of work includes patching of potholes, replacement of existing walkways and restoration of roads.
The business owners whose businesses are situated at the affected street applauded the City for refurbishing their trading street. Abram Naidoo (43), who owns a furniture shop that is situated at Park Street thanked the metro for responding to their pleas to close the potholes. “Our businesses will now attract more customers as they will be located on a potholes-free street. Thanks to the municipality for timeous response” said impressed Naidoo
Through this project the City’s Roads & Stormwater Department is fulfilling its responsibility of planning, providing and maintaining the roads infrastructure of the City of Ekurhuleni to facilitate economic growth and social development, promote traffic safety and improve traffic flow in our CBDs. adding value to healthy living in Ekurhuleni through the provision of sustainable roads services of high quality.
