The City Works on Improving the Condition of Roads
Gumanye Road in Teanong, Thembisa, was identified as one of those that needed patching due to its age by the City’s Department of Roads and Stormwater.
This follows investigations conducted by the department to determine which local roads need rehabilitation. Kgadi Marumo, a manager at the Thembisa depot says, “We have strengthened service delivery by conducting research and identifying roads that need our urgent attention, taking into consideration that some roads are very old and need to be refurbished.”
Tshidi Phaka, a street committee member in Gumanye applauded the City for revamping the road and closing all the potholes.
Residents and businesses can report potholes and other road related issues through to the services call centre on 0860 543 000/ call.centre@ekurhuleni.gov.za or My CoE App.
