VAN DYK PARK MINI DUMPSITE TO UNGERGO FACELIFT
As of 1 February 2022, the Van Dyk Park mini dumpsite in Boksburg will undergo extensive renovations to ensure that the facility is spacious enough to take in more waste.
The site is the public off-loading facility that only accepts garden waste not weighing over a ton, and all recyclable waste material.
Hudson Mboweni, Acting Head of Waste Management Services in the City, said when renovations commence next month, members of the public can still make use of the facility.
Mboweni said renovations include installing the entrance and exit gates, construction of ablution facilities, administration offices, extension of the wall fence, paving and additional skip bins.
He added that on completion the facility would be bigger, better, and safer for users.
