Vuselela Addressing Service Delivery in The City

In responding to the backlog in service delivery due to the effects of COVID-19, the City of Ekurhuleni initiated the Vuselela Service Delivery Campaign.

“We are experiencing backlogs due to COVID-19, among other things. Most departments are also working on reduced staff due to health related issues. The recent rains also did not make things easier. This is not an isolated case and that is the reason we will go across the City to clear the backlogs,” Isaac Bangilizwe, Ekurhuleni’s Divisional Head of Operation said.

He said this has led to delays in services such as patching of potholes, road markings, grass cutting, tree pruning and removal of illegal dumping, among other services.

Recently the Vuselela Service Delivery campaign were in Bedfordview for patching of potholes, painting of road markings, pruning of trees and grass cutting.
