CITY DEPLOYS MORE TRUCKS TO CLEAR WASTE REMOVAL BACKLOG

The City of Ekurhuleni has deployed more trucks in areas hardest hit by the waste backlog in recent weeks.

Since late last week and over the weekend the City has been attending to the backlog in affected areas, including Benoni and Boksburg.

Residents who have not received waste removal services in the past weeks will be notified through various City communication platforms on which days to put their bins out for collection to address the backlog.

The apologises for the inconvenience this caused to the affected residents and ratepayers.
