WASTE LANDFILL SITES UPDATE

The City of Ekurhuleni is experiencing delays on waste removal round collections due to wet and slippery conditions causing traffic congestion of waste removal trucks accessing the landfill sites.

Platkop landfill site near Katlehong and Simmer and Jack landfill site in Germiston are operational.

Precautionary measures are in place to ensure safe working conditions on site to fasttrack service delivery.

Meanwhile, Rietfontein landfill site in KwaThema and Rooikraal in Dawn Park near Boksburg, are expected to re-open by end of April 2024.
