WOMEN OFFICIALS TAKE WATER CONSERVATION BLITZ TO RAMAPHOSA INFORMAL SETTLEMENT

The City of Ekurhuleni will conduct a water conservation education blitz at Ramaphosa informal settlement in Boksburg on Friday, 26 August. The programme which is aimed at promoting water conservation in the community will be conducted by female employees in the water department as part of Women’s Month.

The City hopes that through regular communication and engagements with members of the public, this can foster behavioral change in the way water is viewed by communities and ultimately save the municipality millions lost in unaccounted for water which are mainly caused by water leaks and some members of the community leaving water dripping after using the taps.
