Annual Ekurhuleni Township Film Festival to Boost Local Artists

The City calls all film lovers from witness the evolution of the township film industry at the annual 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR) Creative Industries Workshop and Film Screenings.

The workshops will empower local SMMEs in the film industry with information on how they can advance themselves through digital technology such as creative robotics, 4K digital cameras and virtual reality film making, and to access market opportunities.

4IR Ekurhuleni Film Festival is open to the public, and will be in the form of a pop-up cinema experience and will be held under the theme: “Leveraging on digital platforms for 4IR Township Creatives“.

The film screenings and workshops focus on broadcasting, audio-visual, digital age, video-on demand concepts, streaming of technology and alternative ways of film/video sales, licensing and distribution.

Throughout the workshop, emerging township film makers will get the opportunity to network with established film industry leaders.
