CHORAL MUSIC FESTIVAL TO HONOUR O.R. TAMBO
The City of Ekurhuleni has convened an array of activities to honour the life and times of O.R. and Adelaide Tambo during the month of October. One of the activities is the choral music festival set for this coming Saturday, 01 November 2025 at the Dumisani Masilela Theatre in Germiston.
O.R. Tambo himself was a chorister of note and music composer. He composed the famous gospel hymn ‘Lizalis’ idinga lakho’. As such, the festival promises to be a high-note spectacle where seasoned choristers and choirs will share the stage to honour O.R. Tambo with their harmonic melodies.
Choral music lovers will be serenaded with an unforgettable fusion of voices as Lucky Sibanda of the Three Afro Tenors and the celebrated jazz artist Angel Zondo take the stage with the city’s EMPD choir.
The entrance is free, and patrons of all ages are welcome.
Details of the choral music festival are as follows:
Date: Saturday, 01 November 2025
