Hanyani Fit For Free In Wattville Stadium
The City of Ekurhuleni in partnership with Gauteng Department of Sport and Recreation hosted a successful Hanyani Fit For Free Wellness programme on Wednesday, 10 March, at the Wattville Stadium.
This event, attended by the Gauteng MEC of Sport, Arts and Recreation Mbali Hlophe and MMC of Community Services Cllr Nomadlozi Nkosi, attracted a field of over 100 young and old members of the community who all had a common goal of a healthy lifestyle.
“Today’s event was very important to us as community members and we wish to have more of such fun healthy living days,” said Tsholofelo Phalatse from Malele in Wattville.
The day started with a five kilometre walk and later followed with aerobics as well as yoga led by Precious and Slindile, both from the area.
DJ Shimza was part of the proceedings, dazzling participants with his music which assisted them through their paces. After the activities of the day were done and dusted Earthquake Dance group from Daveyton entertained the community.
