
ESSENTIAL SERVICES UNINTERRUPTED BY CLOSURE OF OFFICES DURING FESTIVE HOLIDAYS
GERMISTON – The City of Ekurhuleni wishes to inform residents and ratepayers that essential services will continue throughout the festive season.
However, council offices will be closed on Tuesday, 16 December 2025 as it is a public holiday, and from 13:00 on 24 December 2025 and reopen on Friday, 2 January 2026.
During the recess period, residents in need of health care services, are encouraged to use Community Healthcare Centres (CHC) and hospitals, which operate for 24 hours.
Whilst the closure of municipal offices will not affect essential services such as such as electricity and water services, residents are advised to use the numbers listed below for any emergency or service interruption.

- Municipal services call centre – 0860 543 000.
Residents are also reminded to pay their municipal accounts on time and use the online rates payment platform, Siyakhokha on www.siyakhokha.ekurhuleni.gov.za
