Young Pilot Gives Back To His Community

In a case of ploughing back to the community Jabulani Mthembu, a former recipient of a bursary from the City has donated 350 pairs of shoes to needy pupils from schools in Vosloorus.

Mthembu, through his non-profitable Company – Educate Lead Achieve (ELA) said he was happy to lend a helping to some of the disadvantaged children from the City.

“I know what it’s like to not have, and I was given an opportunity by the City to make my dreams come true by studying aviation which has opened doors for me.

The shoe-drive I’m currently running is my way of giving back to the community and planting a seed of hope to young children in my community,” said Mthembu who is fully qualified as a pilot.

He encouraged other young people in the City of Ekurhuleni to try make a difference in their communities through donating to the needy.
